Whether you do a quick clean regularly, or a more thorough clean less often - keeping your dishwasher in great shape is important to achieve the ultimate clean. Follow along with us in our dishwasher maintenance and care guide.
The Full Clean Routine
Keep your dishwasher performing its best by running the full clean routine every few months.
Clean the inside
To start the full clean routine, we recommend running am empty cycle with our Finish Dishwasher Cleaner.
Check & empty the filter
If your dishwasher’s filter is doing its job and catching wayward food particles, it will need to be emptied to help draining and stop food particles circulating.
Check & unclog the drain
Behind the dishwasher filter is the drain that can accumulate debris, grease and grime over time, or even become damaged. Be careful cleaning the drain and always disconnect your machine before attempting.
Check the spray arms
Check to ensure your spray arms are rotating freely and aren’t clogged with debris to ensure they are operating at full power.
Address hard water stains
Hard water stains and limescale build up can be removed with Finish Dishwasher Cleaner, but its best to avoid build up in the first place.
Check for leaks
Look around your dishwasher for evidence of leaks or pooling water. Some typical culprits of dishwasher leaking are a broken inlet valve, defective pumps or loose seals. For any of these, consult a technician.
It’s clean, but I still have a problem
Even with your dishwasher as clean as a whistle, you can still encounter other problems that get in the way of the ultimate clean. Problems can arise from loading your dishwasher incorrectly, not using the right settings and cycles or other common issues found in our troubleshooting guide.
For any technical issues, we recommend you consult a qualified technician.
